    Word of advice....do not P out of your treestand after you just shot a buck. I did, and was shaking so much from the adrenaline, I pissed all over myself.

    I was OCD about this for years. I went as far to make sure i had a urine bottle holder in every tree stand. However, i have had many deer sniff my pee within minutes of letting it loose off the stand. The last one that did that was a 160” 7 year old Buck thats now on my wall. Let it rip!

    So, at my holler, the cocktail blind is close to camp, so you can refill, get back in the stand before anything notices. Thus the name.

    As successful of a hunter as my dad is.. I'm going to venture to say that deer are attracted to the smell of bourbon. Maybe we have been doing it wrong..

    i dont why but i take a bottle with me, i usually forgot to empty it for the afternoon hunt and i piss out of the tree then. it doesnt seem to bother the deer, ive had them come to the tree and smell, all be it young deer. huh no mature deer huh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Meh, I think we as hunters and moreso humans, give deer too much credit for thought processing.

    Coyote piss, raccoon piss, human piss, deer piss, opossum piss, fox piss, squirrel piss, mink piss, rabbit piss and how ever other many pissing creatures in the woods pissing.


    I mean seriously you are 15+ feet in the air and pissing down. Even John Holmes, had he hunted, wouldn't make it far enough away to avoid his walking in to the tree track.

    If you have been busted by pee on the ground, it's likely your boot scent at the base of the stand tipped them off when they gave a curiosity sniff.

    Turn 180 and piss on the side of the tree, not much will make it to the ground.

    Most important thing with this topic is....

    Go hunting, pee happy
