Funny story on this next one. I was offered permission on a farm that is a wide open field (zero woods...just grass terraces and soybeans) next to a main road. Its the same owner as a few of my other farms. Great area, but due to extreme lack of cover I basically didn’t have any expectations. There is a big block of crp and timber on 2 sides of it so I figured there would be some deer hitting the beans. So I stuck up an old junk Primos camera and poured out some stock salt just to see what’s there. BOY was I surprised! At least 5 mature bucks hitting the salt daily. And they have made a giant scrape right in front of the camera! First scrape of the year! After checking the card needless to say I swapped that camera out with a better one. I am going to have to put a plan together now to hunt this farm. Likely will be buying a few acres of beans off the farmer. Thinking of overseeding those beans with winter rye or radishes to help pull deer off the neighboring crp/timber

That 6 pointer is awesome. I’d be tempted to shoot him.

The wide 8 with the flyer off G3 looks like an older deer.

The others could be 3 or 4....not sure exactly since I have no previous history

Hung a killer set in the rain yesterday. Probably my 2nd best chance to kill a giant will be in this tree. Two huge ridges drop down and converge at the corner of this secluded field (which will be brassicas in a couple weeks). Ive got the hardwood ridges to the south and west, with a logging road running right by the tree, the Field to the east, and the river on the north. With a south wind this spot is bulletproof, and the topography and previous MRI says deer will use this corner the most of any.

Hung another stand yesterday. In a cedar tree 10ft off the ground. Its in a fencerow where the corner of a pasture meets a bean field, a pond, and a bedding thicket. Super excited about this spot.

    Booner.
I try and stay positive but one thing with you is lacking.
That's the lack of anything but " you" on the forum.
    Don't feel pissed.
Been busting other people's balls on other forums as well.
Forums are made/ broke by contribution. Good or bad.

Little John (5 yr old) has about finished growing. Didn’t add a ton from last year, but 3 years of history so far and he has a very small core. I’m going to try to get a buddy to shoot him.

given the quality bucks you have to choose from, your being tempted by a 6er is refreshing.
I've said on other threads my ultimate dream buck is a mature 140+ big clean 6.

Super stoked to find 2020 back again. He’s 3 this year. He looks a lot like the buck I shot in 2017, Doublewide. He actually has 3 fewer points this year, but his frame blew up. I still think he could be scary big next year. Fingers crossed he stays safe this fall.

This buck is a 4 year old bully. Why are these the type of deer that never get killed by neighbors? Ive had him on camera since he was 2 1/2. Was a 7 pt as a 2 yr old. Barely a crab claw 8 last year. His body is gigantic though. Gonna try to get my wife on him.

PG-13 has finished growing. He has an awesome 6x6 frame. Biggest deer on the farm right now, and he’s only 4.

More card pulls yesterday! Found a really awesome older deer on one of my leases. No previous history with him, but he is COOL! He instantly jumped way up the hitlist.
