Not posting a pic because I don't have one of him but I just saw a pretty damn nice buck, made my eyes pop. He came out of one of my bean fields as I was going down the road towards the gate. Looks like I have a marked target this fall. I doubt he'll go B&C but he's still in velvet and had a lot of symmetrical junk. Stay tuned...this could get interesting.
I've been too busy to run trail cameras and feeders since May so I don't know what is running around here this year except what I've seen first hand...and I will say I have seen some slammers in the bean fields so far. One evening there were five bucks in a group and I think the smallest one was over 130" and that was a month ago.

Get on him, put in the hours now and kill him opening day. Won't have a reason to worry about finding time to hunt afterwards.

I went back in the pickup just a minute ago to shut the gates where I had been in and out with the spray rig. I had two chevy pickups full of guys glassing my bean fields...

Covey. Bucks we're damn near an extict thing here till the beans got growing.
Now, seeing more bucks then does.
Same thing, got a glimpse last night of what could be a giant but by the time I got stopped, he jumped from beans into the woods.

Beans? Reminds me of the time I was going from Vicksburg to Greenville, MS. The new road was raised above the fields and went through acres of soybeans. I looked to my right and saw what I was was a big dog bounding over the rows of beans. I slowed down and saw a huge buck of at least 12 points!

    Haha

Yea you guys would hate living here. It's like a pastime to drive around looking at deer. Especially when gets close to deer season and all the out of staters are around.

... haha the field is in our name actually.... I really don’t mind people watching them doesn’t seem to bother them one bit.. the only problem we have is keeping trespassers out

Plant a small line of switchgrass along the road and you will have less ppl looking and subsequently less trespassing

It is my field, do you have an issue with people owning private property?

You never really want folks to know what's on your property, whether it's a camper, cabin, big buck, portable stands, four wheeler...
