I am using a hang on stand for mobile hunting and was wondering easy way to put in tree? I have seen videos of using like a screw in spike to hand it off of but not allowed to do that on the public land I am going to try and hunt this year. This is first year I using one. Thanks

I went to Lowes and purchased a small pulley and then bought a very small caribbeaner. I mounted it to a piece of angle aluminum and mounted it to the tree with a ratchet strap. I climb the tree, strap the whole contraption to the tree and pull my stand up with the rope through the pulley. Whole process takes about a minute. Hope this helps.

Use your safety harness like a linesman belt and pull the stand up via rope.

Hang your steps and use a rope to go over an overhead limb if applicable. Climb down and pull the stand up via the rope and tie it back when you get it in position of your liking.

I had a rope (20 or 25 feet enough so there is slack) which I tied to my stand on the ground and the other half I had attached to me. I used my linesman belt to set up my climbing sticks, when I got to the last climbing stick I just stayed up in the tree and used the rope to pull up my stand and set it up. I had an old style heavy duty hang-on stand and from start to finish had it up in about 20 minutes.
