Who else is getting out ahead of time and getting properties prepped for the opener? Dont wait until a week before the season opens! Planning on getting out this weekend and hanging stands, prepping areas for stands, spraying stands for wasps, checking and setting up cameras, checking food plots, and finally do some scouting! September cant come fast enough.

Not to be that guy, BUT... Season opens in OCT. 1 here and I have a standing rule to be out of the woods by Aug 15 right after brassicas are planted. With 1 cavot of pulling cards every 3 weeks

I've been getting out, not as much as i would like to but my cameras in PA have been pretty good, NJ I have been filling corn feeders, that is until the bears decided to tear them down and eat all the corn....I put a trophy rock out instead hopefully the bears dont steal it! Come on September!

Not a bad strategy. I am going to try to hang most of my cameras adjacent to stands this year and check them when hunting those stands to relieve hunting pressure when the season comes in. For right now I only check them every 2 weeks. Trying to get all of my work done by next weekend, then leave it alone until our opener in SC Sept. 15. Good luck this season

Nah I will be walking out to the spot on the hill every day, I will push deer out many trips to the feeder, I will leave all kinds of scent, the dogs will pee all over and probably chase a squirrel or two. deer do not care.

Cameras are out the only thing left to do is trim lanes but I move around so much I only have really one spot I hunt every year, as the deer change their patterns a little a do my best to change as well that means new spots to hunt and I don't want to create to much change in a spot. Unlike Sota's deer my deer seem to care or at least care a little bit!

I am hanging two new stands, cleaning up lanes and prepping a few plots for fall planting this weekend. Starting to move cameras from feeders to trails in hope if figuring out a certain fella's pattern.

I have been doing prep work. Pretty much setup at property #1. A few things left to do at property #2. Going there this weekend. 36 more days!

I’ll be heading back out this weekend to pull cards, trims lanes and hang a few stands. The prop just got timbered and I’m curious to see how it affects the deer.

Good thread. Woke up this morning and looked at the weather for the coming week. Good for fishing, photography and scouting for a place to hunt. I think of all the years I wasted by working! Looks like everyone is getting geared up and motivated for the coming hunting season.
