I am using the 2.25 x vanes and wondered if four fletch better then three since they are low profile and helical vs straight. Thanks for any input.
I ran 4 fletch last year and will probably run it again this year. They just seem to fly better for me. I changed my whole arrow set up though so I need to do some testing before I make my decision. Bottom line test both and see which groups better
OK. I have a couple rampage arrows with four fletch. But the shop that built them did not good job and I have to buy new wraps and more fletchings. My arrow weight 480 right now
I’m running the same vane 4 fletched. I’ve tried aae max stealths, 3 and 4 fletch, and I’ve also tried the larger 3” x vane 3 and 4 fletch. I always come back to the 2.25” x vane four fletch. I only have a left helical clamp, so I didn’t experiment any with that. I even run them on my large diameter over spined indoor arrows.
My only complaint is..... out of a package of 100 vanes, I probably throw away 10 or 15 due to manufacturing defects. They’re just little things like the glue channel being messed up usually.
I have a straight and right helical clamp with new jig. When I get home from work next month I will try both with four fletch
I just bought a pack of the Bohning Heat vanes at 2.5” I did it in a four fletch as well. I am hoping the lower profile four fletch flies better than the Blazers. I like the look of the lower Profile vane as well. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
