Couple of bucks and also need some assistance with identifying a critter

    Finally have some decent bucks where I hunt.However, in the last pic I am not sure of it's a mountain lion or not...looks like it but hard to say without the head.     Are mountain lions common in your area? Definitely looks like it could be one. Especially with the black tip on the tail.

    They are very rare for the area I am in, hopefully it's just moving through if that's the case!

    Could just be a dog but that dog has a strong resemblance to a mountain lion. The tail is kinda short for a mountain lion so I'm guessing coonhound.

    Tail looks awfully thin for a cougar, but could be a very young one.

    That's what I was thinking to...I should have gone with a better camera and make be I'd have gotten a good pic. Thanks for your guys' input
