Let's try this out. Post up your shot placement if perfect broadside but at 18ft up and 20 yards. Let's have some fun. My spot looks good at d4 to e3 block. Fixed 4 blade. FB_IMG_1564106050408.jpeg

Probably d-3 for me. I have a doe on camera that someone attempted an A-1 on last year by the looks of her neck. She seems fine though.

same for me, which means I would probably hit C3 and bury it in the offside shoulder making for a fun tracking job.

I’m an D5/E5kinda guy, lethal if no duck but if duck then it’s still good. All depends on alertness/scenario.

E-4 , E5 for me. Put it right in the boiler room. They won't go far.

If I get target panic, I tend to pull right. Lol. Turn the deer around and I'm in the same boat you described dammit.

my goal is almost always to exit at the D5. I honestly rarely if ever think about the entry.

From the ground d3. From 18' up D5 seems about right, but this pic isn't from that angle.

    [Ed. oops. Swap those spots]

though I look at these things and think 18'x20 ' means little to me , because I hunt strictly hill country . Shoot to say my left and they could be eye level to my rt. I could be say 25' ' ft up.

Wait, where is the Texas heart shot?

D4 to E5 all day at that angle. Put me 20ft up in a tree and I think in terms of exit wound placement.

Trick question: this guy needs at least one more year.

Broadside on the ground, as the pictures looks, C5-D5. 18 feet up a tree, I am going add C4-D4 to that.
