I usually hunt thick cover and finding stands in the morning while pitch black can suck sometimes. Years ago, I started using those cheap Walmart solar lights to hang up by my stands. Makes finding them real easy now.
No, interesting idea though. Some of the areas that I hunt is so thick, I cut my own trail in. there is only one way in!
no but I have used the reflective pins you stick in the trees! those are extremely helpful! but if I put two in one tree i put them in a verticle line so they don't look like eyes!
I use reflective tacks. using 1-3 tacks tells me to turn left or right and throws off people on public trying to follow my signs into the area I chose to hunt.
I have used tacks to get to some spots where I hunt. On my property that I owned I had a looping trail following the property line with 3 vertical tacks ever 20-30 yards in case my son or my dad got lost they knew what to look for. I created my own reflective tacks last season (I was poor! lol) using regular push pins and pieces of reflective DOT tape. very bright, much more so than the ones you can buy. I freaked myself out a few times when they lined up and looked like eyes.

Good idea but where I hunt keeping others from finding your stand is about as important as you being able to find it yourself. I've been turned around in the dark. Just part of it.

A good tip I use is Fluorescent tacks placed near the base of the tree as you are walking in and on the other side as you walk out.. Then use a green or red head lamp. They light up like a landscape lights when light hits them. Also, being near the base of the tree, they are not as visible to other hunters.
