I’m starting to get ready. I have four cameras out and only checking one just off the edge of my back yard until the middle or end of August. It hasn’t had anything but a 1.5yo 8pt and a 1.5yo 6pt. I have a couple public land spots to hunt, but still have four or five to go scout yet.
Yeah i have a couple nice shooters on the property I get to hunt but its only like 3 acres and everyone around hunts too but doesn’t bow hunt. So i started checking out some public but don’t want to set out cameras and then get them stolen. I see. It's hard to come by private land these days. I had 160 acres all to myself 2 years ago then landowner died and the family can't come to agreement and I can't hunt it anymore and another 50 acres i used to hunt, they only want family members out there now. So i have one little piece of private i get to hunt which is like 5 acres. Thats why I'm trying public this year. I got a couple farmers that I need to talk to. Hopefully I can get a permission from one landowner that I use to hunt growing up.
