Food.. Just a few pics to give an idea..old farm steads here. Wild apples and fruit every where these are some of ours and my planted ones . Nut and acorn are also loaded. Wild plum, blk berry, blueberry.
Then you have apples loaded, mulberry, currants loaded and each kiwi vine produces 100#s they can eat and bed near food all night and day. It will be a two part year. Early dispersal and the rut. Maybe a good late bow season.
At least the critters will eat good. Hunt hard and if it’s meant to be you’ll connect on a good one! Good luck!
I see your in PA. Whats the wild mast looking like there? Here the observation made is a norm for us in this area. You don't need much pressure at all in excellent mast years to see them go completely nocturnal early. I'm bordered on 2 side by large acreage of prime wht.tail land with very little pressure but these 2 properties are bordered on all sides by heavy hunting pressure. Mine having the least due to my being the only hunter. 5 hunting camps fill up around us by Oct 1. There is just not enough movement to get them to leave the non bow hunting properties to get them to leave their sanctuaries in day light until gun season. It's a matter of hunting smart over hunting hard in this situation. Luck to you as well this season.
I had one apple tree in the yard that was loaded with apples as in too many branches are going to break. We have had a few storms and some apples have fallen. Kinda fun to watch the crows sort thru the ground falls.
