The way I figure it, hunting in the rain beats sitting around the house doing nothing. Plus, in my experience if you get a break in a good rain where it lets up for a bit, deer will start moving. That break in the rain can be a magical time to have a deer tag in your pocket.
I believe my fellow southerns will back me up on this one. The rain here in NC comes down like buckets when it decides to hit hard, with that being said I'll follow a quick thunder storm that roles through in a timely manner, things really seem to pick up after a good front rolls through, so yeah I'll hunt the rain just not a full fledged storm
Light rain definitely but a heavy prolonged rain I hold off and watch the radar. Get to the stand 15 minutes before it stops and usually I see deer moving right after it stops. Perfect time to slip in those hard areas where you make alot of noise. Take advantage when mother nature is on your side!
