Just adopted a new dog and would like to start teaching him to blood trail. I have plenty of venison scraps in the freezer for rewards but I didn't save any blood last season. Anybody have any deer blood from a Non-CWD area that they would be willing to trade? Maybe somebody in Florida would be willing to collect a few pints for me while they are processing a deer during the upcoming summer season?
Have you thought about using a small bit of blood from packaged deer meat from last year? Drain the blood from the package after it thaws out.
Why not get a DNR permit for a fresh road kill, then you have blood and hoof glands and fur " dander"
