Last night saw the first fawn, little one was not even dry yet. The doe was bred last October 13th. This is the earliest fawn I have seen in 25 years living here
Got lucky have no cameras out, I was out checking the plot to see how the clover was coming up. Yesterday was a special day I also saw an American Redstart have never seen that bird at my place before.
Cool pic! Maybe you should hunt more than one weekend a year if they are breeding that early. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I've been watching my cell cams but nothing yet but some very pregnant looking does. Blessings.........Pastorjim
I saw one a week ago, pretty small but ran behind the doe when I jumped them just fine. The doe had to have been last years fawn, it wasn't much bigger than the spotted one following it. Had to have been bred pretty early, I see the majority of fawns in late June and early July, and have seen fawns still with spots clear into the first week of September.
Stumbled on this one a couple weeks ago. Looking for a long lost machete and I almost stepped on the little guy. Hope it makes it
