My grandpa was a car salesman and found this old Solingen knife under the back seat of a trade in back in the early 60’s or so. My dad said it was in there junk drawer for as long as he can remember. When I inherited it, it looked like it was used for a pry bar, the tang was broke off, and the handle was held on by a wad of duck tape.

I didn’t do any of the work besides weld some extra tang on. My boss fixed it up for me in trade for some welding (and maybe a bottle of Booker’s) Anyway, I thought it was pretty neat to see the old family knife/pry bar come back to life.

Anybody else have an old knife passed down through the family?
