Definitely saw way more dead deer this year shed hunting than I ever have. Walked one piece of public and I was only out there for about 1 hour and found 10. Out of the probably 25 I found dead this year I think only 2 weren't does or yearlings.

I noticed a lot of them were fresh deaths about 2-3 weeks after snow melt.

CWD in your area? Seems like a high mortality unless the winter was really bad. Does anyone from the wildlife division have any information?

Winter was really bad here so it didn't shock me I guess. 1 for sure was a shot deer that wasn't recovered.
