Hello Everyone - I would appreciate everyone's thoughts and recommendations for what type of compound bow holder you use while you are in your tree stand. I'm looking for something that is strong and durable and allows me to access my bow with minimal movement - I appreciate everyone's input.

Are you looking for something to attach to the tree? Or are you looking for something to attach to a tree stand/mobile set up ?

Thanks for your question. I am thinking of something that attaches to my stand so the bow is closer and to keep my movements more limited. However, I'm sure everyone has their favorites so let me know what works best for you.

if you are going to go with a tree mounted one(my personal preference) get the cranford EZY hanger the 2 or 3 arm model allows you to put the bow whereever you want it in relation to yourself, I like to keep mine directly infront of my left hand so it is easy to grab. The cranford is 10X better quality than the realtree ez hangers upload_2018-11-8_11-2-7.png

I prefer a tree mount to hang my bow from. I had a friend awhile back use a mount on the side of his stand. He stood up and was reaching for his bow at the same time, hit the side and the bow fell out of the holder to the ground. I do not know the brand or how "cheap" it was. I'm sure there are some good ones out there that would not happen with, but I like mine hanging in front of me.

I prefer a tree mount to hang my bow. The trouble I have is that on public land I cannot use those screw in kind. Causing damage to trees with screw-in style hunting equipment is illegal. I am actually working on making one for myself with paracord and a wall-mounted tool hook for garage organization. I will be testing it tomorrow afternoon when I hunt.

I have used paracord and a metal hook from a bungie cord from the back of my truck before. Worked like a champ. I was in a pinch.

HME bow holder. Screw in or strap on. Works great.

I use the built-in bow holder that comes with the Lone Wolf platform. I had to use the Wolf Jaws accessory because mine is a split limb bow. I like having my bow right there in front of me, no reaching for it. Just personal preference.

I made a custom bow hanger that you can screw or strap on a tree. It works as a hanger and supports the weight of the bow at all times. It achieves this by using a pivoting arm above you and a string attached to the bow with a mechanism to spool the string in and out when the bow is moved up or down. Then there is a mechanism to prevent the lock the string in place. This way you can extend the bow to the exact shooting position and it holds the weight of the bow which in turn relieves the stress on your arm. Below is a link to a video.

I use the Realtree EZ hanger 2 arm. Works great for me.

What I like about the custom design is that I never have to remove the bow from the hanger. With the Realtree EZ hanger you have to remove the bow from the hanger when you have activity. I guess it comes down to how long you can hold the bow with your arm extended out in a shooting position before you start shaking.

I really like my third hand bow holders that I use for my climber and ground blind hunting
For fixed position stands Hawk makes some quality accessory and bow hooks but they are a little more expensive
We have menards here in MI and they sell Hawk cheaper there for some reason
