Might sound dumb but it makes my day whenever my daughters (8 & 15) call me daddy instead of dad. Not sure why but I can’t say no to anything they are asking for when daddy is broken out

A real and actual full nights sleep. It's rare for me, but man I appreciate when I get it.

Its good to be young. I was talking to the wife this past weekend about paying of the house...

No student loans, paid off early 90s.
Credit cards generally paid off monthly.
Finished car payments around 2010...last 2 used cars bought with cash.
    The house is within sight...

My wife and I are in a similar position. Student loans paid off four years ago, no credit cards except for booking trips online and always paid off before the end of the month. Both cars paid for and she is being a stay-at-home mom for at least one more year. Slowly working on the house until she goes back to work and we are paying cash for our Disney World trip with the kids later in the year. Life is good when you don't have debt!

One of the best things in life is shooting animals in the face.

    That depends on the animal.
Eat it, and then tell a vegan ...

You have not been up on your post reading before you commented. Read all the topics, all the new threads, it helps to gather an inference.

one of the best things in life- perfectly intact wild turkey breasts on the grill.

ya'll need to lighten up about the shooting in the face thing. Plenty of people intentionally shoot turkeys in the head - enough so that entire broadhead lines are dedicated to it.

Just because he used a line lifted from (or at least recognized from) a movie to grab attention to the thread doesn't mean he's not hunting ethically. We got enough issues in this world we don't need to turn on fellow hunters hunting ethically.

I imagine some of the same people turned off by the thought of shooting turkeys in the face would take a poke at a buck standing 45 yards way.

    Just saying.

I disagree and personally hold up JZ as a role model for my friends, neighbors and children. I'm disgusted in him for speaking of killing a animal with a quick, appropriate and humain way. How dare he....and on a hunting forum. What a jerk.
That being said, I can't wait for May to come so I can try to kill a Tom with niceness.

So we went to the daughters farm for dinner last night, I brought the saw with to drop a problem tree. While I was grilling steaks the news got dropped I am going to be a grandpa come November. I will not be moving to Florida now I am pretty giddy about the whole thing.
