    So we have a team of 8 elk hunters this year. We broke into two groups for the MT application. My group, consisting of my brother, three buddies, and I, all got our apps in. The other group all missed the deadline :lmao2:. Half are veterran elk hunters who have hunted MT twice before and still missed it.. We are now discussing options for them, and I proposed they "take the black" and join the "Night's Watch" using the following vows:

    September gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my partners tags are punched. I shall take no elk, hold no bow, release no arrows. I shall wear no release and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the caller in the darkness. I am the camp B**** of the team. I start the fires that burns against the cold, the light the lanterns that bring the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the team from grizzlies. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this September and all the Septembers to come.

    Anyone been to Punta Cana in here? Anything special I should look into before we leave next week? I would like to fish.

    Staying at the Riu Republica all adult all inclusive resort on the east/northeast coast.

    Little known fact, the DR is one of the only areas you can file for divorce with only one party present... Also says my friends.

    I have been to the DR 5 or 6 times. We have had average luck on off shore fishing for dolphin and barracuda, etc. The most fun I have had there was last trip. My oldest son and his wife went with us and he had packed along a travel rod. He was catching small tarpon from the estuaries around the golf course and resort property every morning and evening. They were not big, but put up an amazing fight on light tackle. Some of them would clear the water by three feet! I will definitely have my own fising pole next trip!
