How many total acres do you now have available to hunt? Is there really a need for that much land? Are you not satisfied with what you had on your previous pieces? Just trying to figure out why you are continuing to add more and more pieces of ground. Seems like every time I check this thread you are posting about 3+ more pieces you picked up.

Well if we are operating under that logic then none of us "Need" any land to hunt at all. We don't need bows, guns, tree stands, cameras, atvs, food plots, etc. either. We could all very easily go to the store and buy meat, and spend our free time in some other hobby, and likely be money ahead...but we don't. Need has nothing to do with it.

The answer is no. All he seems to be doing in tying up ground that John Doe and his sons use to hunt but now can't because Booner has deep pockets. Sad thing is that he has all this land tied up and a lot of it he never hunts or so he says. Unfortunately this is what its coming down too. Thank goodness im in the twilight of my career. And if im not mistaken, why would you have a trespassing charge in the past year if you have so many thousands of acres you have permission on?

Fair enough. Google Earth can definitely be 3-4 years old in some cases, plenty of time for change.

Shed pics make me want to get out this weekend. Found one small 3pt side in WI last weekend snow is finally starting to melt away.

    Happy hunting.

Not his pockets. He is bringing in money from out of state guys to lease it up with the promise of giving them a hunt when they draw a tag. So, kind of the absolute worst scenario you can imagine for the locals. Then, he misinterprets the locals anger for jealousy. But, the big acreage is something to talk about at outdoor shows and it helps to impress those in the "industry". It's just what you do when being a hunting "celebrity" is more important to you than ethics. (ie: Trespassing) The missing link is a pattern of killing top end bucks. That is a skill, not a commodity and can be a bit more difficult than just writing a check.

Picked up 6 more yesterday evening. 2 were old, which was surprising. Missed them somehow last year.

Found a dead buck way back in a big block of timber. No roads close by so my guess is he got killed in a fight. I left him for the critters.

Walked a whole lot of miles yesterday. Covered 4 farms. Only came away with 3 antlers to show for it. Very strange day. But did find some pretty good sign.

Pulled a few camera cards. Had a new buck show up on my big timber farm. Super chunky and clearly mature. I like him.

Also found out we jumped a buck still carrying both sides while shed hunting. These were the last 2 pictures on the camera.

Walked one draw behind the house last night. Picked up one small matched set, but found 5 dead deer. One 3+ year old shed buck, one 120” 2 year old buck, a yearling buck, a doe, and one unknown deer. Not good. This winter has been absolutely brutal on the deer.

Had another good walk yesterday evening. Walked about an hour and picked up 8 more.

First was a matched set from a stud 2 year old. Laying at the top of a south slope.
