    Anyone ever pass them?

I passed one this morning. It took a total of 8 days. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy.

Not yet. Everyone in my family gets them tho. They say to stay away from dark cola. And best way to pass one is lots of beer

The last 2 days weren’t too bad (even the peeing it out part). It’s when the stone was stuck in the long tube (ureter) between kidney and bladder for 5 days that was absolute hell.

None that I could see but blood showed up in the urine sample at clinic which helped the doctor diagnose the problem. CT scan confirmed.

    much better half has...

first one, she couldn't (8 mm).

mix green tea, marshmallow root, uva ursi and Kombucha. make them as a tea. drink it somewhat frequently (not every day, but twice a week or so)

or, if you pass that point a rescue of lemon juice and olive oil. (sounds foul, but, helps)

The doctor prescribed me Tamsulosin (was 5 days into it at that point) to help pass the stone. It made a world of difference.

I've had several. The first one was the worst, hit me while I was in a hand built archery stand and I liked to never got out of that thing. Felt like a bad cramp in my lower back/left side. Got to hurting so bad I was throwing up but never passed out, had a 1/4 mile walk to the house. Folks took me to the local ER 35 miles away writhing in agony. Took a crap load of Morphine to get calmed down. It was too big to pass so they broke it up with a sonic device eventually. I think I was in the hospital for a week. Pissed a lot of blood from that one when it passed probably mostly from the sonic thingy majigger.

Been to the ER twice with them since then over the last 20 years. Last several I just took hard pain meds I keep on hand and drink tons of water. The last several weren't too bad at all I just got to feeling draggy and tired and a little back discomfort. I seem to average about one every other year now.

I've had a broken wrist, a broken toe and a broken finger and a finger almost cut off by a chain saw also had a big toe nail smashed off and took a hit on the head from a metal pipe that took a dozen stitches. That first couple of kidney stones was by far the worst pain I've ever had. I wouldn't wish that experience on a liberal.

I was on an opioid prescription for a couple days. The pain was so bad before getting the meds I couldn’t sleep.

I’ve also had my share of broken bones (leg, back, hand, wrist) and this little stone caused me way more pain than anything else.

Tamulosin expands the tube they usually get stuck in, you don't take it unless you actually have a stone or in some cases prostate trouble (I believe).

Mine were mostly being caused by working out in the heat running heavy equipment all summer and not drinking enough water so I was basically running moderately dehydrated most of the time. I started drinking more water and watching how much I sweat out and they settled down a lot.

I believe your are correct. My stone was stuck in the tube and the drug helped release it. I was also pissing like a race horse which allowed me to probably pass the stone quicker.
