IMG_20190223_141943472~2.jpg IMG_20190223_142014475~2.jpg I did some tests today to see the effects of adding weight to the string and how much it drops arrow speed.
    Two things I noticed.
    1) wiskers are WAY heavier than I thought
    2) weight had very little effect on velocity.
The two pictures here are of the weight of the wiskers and two Apex things that I added to the cables as well.
The velocities will be listed in the comments.

The added weight had way less effective to the velocity than I expected and make a H U G E difference in noise. Gonna add some Limbsaver or Bowjax to the limbs to see if that helps any as well. I don't plan on hunting with this thing much anymore but the weather here has sucked so I figured I'd tinker with it again.
I bought this thing years ago after trying to convince Bowtech to build me a 90-100 pound Balck Knight , the rep told me to hold off a while that they were coming out with something new which was their VFT technology.
I loved this thing since I got it , killed alot of critters with it but had to upgrade to something new this year.

If you shoot a 60# bow with a 400gr arrow I bet your results will be more dramatic.

ALSO some people think that 7fps IS a huge difference.

Let me make sure I got this right. 104 pound draw weight? 90-100 pound draw weight? That is one tough bow. What is the % of let-off? Curious.

Very interesting but HOLY SMOKES 104 lbs!!! You shooting steel rods out of that thing or what! To put things into perspective, I've shot and killed elk at exactly half that draw weight 52lbs... Though more recently after my shoulders have settled down I normally pull\hunt with a stout 60-62 :-)

If that's what you're shooting why not just throw a penny through the deer. I'm sure you have the muscles to get a thru and thru plus about a foot into the dirt.

When I got the bow I was spending alot of time in Alaska and was planning to hunt bear and moose , I wanted to.kaow sure I had more than enough energy to pass through even if the angle wasn't perfect. No such things as over kill right. I'm 6'2" 280 pound competitive bodybuilder and power lifter so the higher draw weight is relative. Comparing the average guy shooting 70-80 pounds to me shooting 100 it's not that impressive LOL..
I've shot plenty deer and hogs and a couple elk with it and none complain that it was to much. I do shoot a big expandable (Rocket Hammerhead and Grim Reaper whitetail special) so the added energy is definitely a bonus.

where the weight is placed on the string has an affect as well. In some cases inversely.
