Haven’t hunted in a long time. Especially bow hunting. Now gotten back into it and absolutely cannot wait until the season starts. Been watching bow hunt or die episodes and I cannot get enough of it. Bought a Mathews Monster from a friend and been non-stop practicing. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. I hunt in SC, since I'm right on the border. What county in NC are you hunting?

Keep practicing. Practice from your ground blind or tree stand. Practice shooting from different positions as Murphpy's Law comes into play- your shot will never be like practice. Had a fellow in my church who discovered the roof at the back of his house was the same height as he placed his treestand. Good way to practice. Also practice with the clothing you wear when hunting. Might be a bit hot in the summer, practice now while the weather is cool. Used to live in central NC but didn't hunt then. Good and safe hunting!

Bill, make sure the treestands you buy have a big enough foot platform to allow you to comfortably and safely turn to shoot with proper foot form in all possible directions. This is something I didn't consider with a couple of my purchases and the stands are almost worthless to me. LOL.
