More often than not when I see it's an article from one of the staff I read it and am not disappointed. This is not one of those times. Not one valid reason. Might as well have put.....cool kids buy one every year....as a reason.

My bow was 5 years old and I just bought a new bow this year. I was amazed at how much the draw cycle has smoothed out. I shot 6 different manufacturers and over a dozen bows. Even the harshest ones are so much smoother and easier to draw than mine. In my follow up research, I found that the draw force curve of the new bows is the main reason for much of what I experienced. Most older bows and even some newer speed bows, you are pulling peak weight for 14 to 21". The more forgiving new bows will have you pulling peak weight for as little as 6" while still achieving IBO of 335+. Pretty amazing!
