Looking for advice, With this bow being older, is it still competitive with the newer bows? In regards to the quality, speed and size. It’s not free but only $350ish. (Trading a handgun). So for 399 I can get a new bear bow or one of the diamond bowtechs. Is this bow still relevant?

Thanks in advance for the help

Btw this will be my first bow

You have to consider that the Drenalin was a flag ship bow for Mathews and the bow you are looking at are in the reduced cost range. Essentially they don't have all the bells and whistles as a flag ship. So if the Drenalin is in good shape and the strings look good its definitely worth 350 and in my opinion would be a better than what you are considering. That is however just my opinion. Good luck.

I have a Drenalin, and I love it. Granted I haven't shot any new bows, but it is quiet, accurate and deadly. 60 lb. 27 in draw. I have had buddies comment on how quiet it is, and it's pretty much dead in hand with a smooth draw.

    Thanks
I’m leaning towards getting it, My only concern is that it’s setup for 31” DL and I’m not sure what me draw length is, so if I read it correctly I have to change the cam to change the DL

I would go to a shop and find out what your draw is. Could search YouTube and find out how to measure yourself. Also if your just getting in to bow. Walmart has bear bows that look pretty good and the ones at my Walmart just got clearance out for 99.00. I do recommend getting it set up at a shop thow.

Great bow. Kept mine for 10 years, just sold it last year. Great shooting and quiet.

I shot a Drenalin for years and sold it to my best friend in 2009. He still hunts with it to this day. The Drenalin is MORE than capable of killing deer and other game to this day. They killed a lot of deer and other game with it when it was first released. Go for it!
