Just curious. How many compound bows do you use during the season? Just one or a couple.

I own a pile of compound bows but generally only hunt with 1 each season. Once it's set up, working, shooting good and I'm comfortable with it I like to stick with it. Consistency is key when it comes to archery.

I hunt with only 1. I do shoot a 2nd regularly incase I need to use it to hunt. A few years back, on Halloween, my bow starting shooting 8" right at 20 yards. Turned out I had a 1" split/crack on the top limb by the cam. Hunted the next morning with the 2nd bow I have been shooting.

Thank You guys for your input. I didn't know if some had different bows you use in different situations. I have the Hoyt Rx 1 Ultra, I've heard you may wanna shorter Bow if say you use a Blind for a example. I was just getting a feel on what others do.

I guess I'm different, but I use 2, one #50 with heavy aluminum arrows for my stands in thick, tight quarters, and one heavier poundage, with mid weight arrows, for more open woods or field edges where shots get a bit further and bow noise is less of an issue, but flatter shooting is.

I'm not good with change, I've had just two compounds. The first a Hoyt I had for around 15 yrs. Now a Mission that will be my last compound bow. I started out with a Bear recurve.

    primary (Bowtech) and backup (Mission)
Usually I hunt with one until it gets bloody, then switch to the other. Or I'll miss one and switch up to get rid of the bad ju-ju.
    I'm weird like that.
