Team 26 - Mid South Monsters

I see it's been quiet here lately. I will get back out probably late this week. Now I'm worrying about my bucks dropping their antlers. Anyone out with the smoke pole?

 

I been out at least 2x a week with the bow, no shooter bucks showing up when I’m in the tree. I got out all my MZ stuff and shot the gun to make sure it was still on, but I didn’t make it out. Just wasn’t motivated to go out with the MZ. I’m still gonna be after it with my bow. Try for a couple more does at least for the freezer.

 

We’re out hunting this weekend on the late season youth hunt. Didn’t see anything yesterday, but hopefully we will this evening.

I will be out Friday and the grandson and I are planning on going out Saturday evening.

 

So who is still trying to get it done in the late season? I'm after a buck and a doe still hopefully. I may just take out 2 does.

 

If I can get out I will, my jeep has been giving me fits for the last week and a half. I have to get that resolved before I can hunt again.

Ive been playing cat and mouse with one of my shooters for a week.

We finally got good hunting weather and I’m working the next 3 days.

Still some time left for the year.

Anyone hunting in the snow tomorrow afternoon?

 

Grandson had a golden opportunity at a big doe. But wasn't ready and he blew. You know how late season deer are ultra skittish. Her fawn busted him.

 

I was out this evening and saw nothing.

 

Going back out this evening. Anyone else still at?

 

Saw 2 this evening. No shot though, too far. Next time out will be Friday evening.

 

Is anyone going to the Deer Expo in March in Columbus?

 

I will be.

We’ve been having some crazy good hunting, my brother missed an upper 130s and I’ve had 3 encounters with the 4.5 year old I call the gimp.
