After a lot of procrastinating building a pedastal on my behalf I finally got my mount done. This was a buck I shot 2 years ago. Couldn't have turned out any better. I didn't have the pedestal light that illuminates the rub turned on. But I thought it added a little extra.

That looks awesome! And it appears to be in one hell of a trophy room. I love the mount in the back and the ripples on the neck. Great work TC

That is just plain awesome Terry. Love the incorporation of the tree rub, definitely unique.

Explain the pedestal if you don't mind. I've done something similar, but would love to mimic what you have there.

Probably the best pedestal I have ever seen. Really a great idea and very well done! I may have to steal some of that concept for myself.

That's some quality woodwork on the pedestal, I didn't pay it enough attention initially. Very nice.

pedestal is made out of walnut and stands about 41" tall or so. top and bottom are about 11"x11" and upright section is 7"x7". took me about 8 hrs to build. top cap is removable for moving. taxidermy work was done by Whitetail Country Taxidermy out of St. Mary's, PA. he also does epoxy sculpting that he uses in his work. I haven't used a better taxi. if you guys want any of his info about his work you can check him out on facebook. he also does work for ohio taxidermy supply. i'll post some finer detailed pics of the mount shortly.
