I fell in love with turkey hunting a few years ago and had some tough luck the last few seasons. I shot my first Tom with a bow last year however and am seriously hooked for life. I’m kind of on a hot streak. My turkey team won the contest on the forum and now we won as well!

I don't hunt the little velociraptors, but have 2 properties that would be awesome for it.

The old-timer at my main property can feed them out of a bucket. He comes out with bird seed and the same 4 Tom's come running.

Last year I took a buddy out and got him his first Tom with a shotgun. Then I was told I can turkey hunt that property and it’s loaded. On one hunt I saw 12 different bearded birds. I had a turkey at 50 yards looking me straight on with a beard that he couldn’t avoid stepping on when he walked.

Great news boys, the neurosurgeon saw no fracture so my daughter is cleared and will be training again soon. Which means I dont get her for Bow season but health is more important. I'll be giving my Brother my bow and already working on my wife for a new bow for me.

The old bird I shot didn't have a beard, just a few strands. I asked the DEC about it and they said older birds stay roosted longer and during winter their beards can freeze to the branch and pull out when they fly down!

She wants Cornell ,academically she is good but I don't think she is make it for the team. So she is thinking about starting D3 or bench D1 .....I told her not to be a dumbass and worry about her major not sports but hey at some point you need to let them make decisions. I paid for private school from 1-12 college is up to her
