I currently use a ripcord drop away rest. I have never had any type of silencing material on the rest where the arrow lays, but have noticed it makes a little noise when drawing in extremely cold weather. It has not hindered me yet, but I would hate to spook that buck of a lifetime. My question is whether this is good practice, and if so, will I need to adjust my sight after putting it on? Thanks in advance.
It depends on the thickness of the material you use. You can try shrink tube or a thin layer of mole skin. In most cases the thickness of those materials are not enough to impact arrow flight but its always good to check afterwards to be sure. Hope that helps
Thanks! I ordered the mole skin pad from rip cord. I appreciate the help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
