Can anyone tell me the pack these guys are wearing in front of them to carry their binos/range finders. I know I've seen them before, but can't think of the name. I believe it may be a sniper pack of some sort. Thanks
Haven't seen the show, but I like my Badlands. Bought it after I saved Cabela's gift cards for 5 years and purchased my Vortex Razor 10x42's. Figured as expensive as they are, I was going to get a case that kept them out of the elements. The Badlands case is water proof and has a magnetic latch, nice and quiet.
I I’ve been kicking back and forth the badlands, Alaska guide creation, vortex, and another one I cant remember. I have the badlands rangefinder case and really do like it. I’ll probably end up with the badlands
My Vortex Diamondback 10x50s won't fit in any of the Badlands... I'll be getting a AGC 50x this weekend. Scheels has them all plus my binocs so I got to try them out.
I have researched many bino harnesses and have yet to find one that is designed better than the alaska guide creations. Would recommend over any product I have seen thus far!
Would also highly recommend the AGC. I got it more to hunt out west, its just super nice to be able to get to some small stuff easily without having to take your pack all the way off as well as not having your glass exposed all the time or having to deal with lens caps. Also can keep all my tags/licenses in the back along with my tyto knife and blades. I held off on it for some time because I assumed it would get in the way but I don't even notice its there anymore.
I’ve also seen some pics of the AGP with some sort of attachment where you can put a side arm on the side of it. I thought this was appealing for bear hunting and possibly going out west. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I believe the holster for the side arm gets attached to the strap on one side or the other. I dont think it would hold a large frame pistol very securely. I carry my side arm on my thigh and bear spray on my waist belt on my pack when I hunt bear country.
Update - Over the week of hunting in Grizz Central Montana I switched to thread the bear spray on the lower left strap of the bino harness (one of the straps I never disconnect to take off the harness) and the spray sits alongside my bino harness on the left side. I chose left because my glock is on my right thigh for a right hand draw - meaning I could drop my bow and draw both at the same time. It worked very well and will be my new favorite method of carrying bear spray whether I have a pistol or not.
