Well he is still around but not in the daylight. I do have a few yearling does that are starting to cycle so hoping that they will bring him around. I had a pretty interesting sit yesterday evening. Around 4.45pm all hell broke loose, I had 3 does come in and another single doe (yearling), the old nanny doe went to biting the younger and running her off. To me, that's a good sign she is beginning to cycle. After that the thick buck I posted earlier last week came by with his little buddy and they immediately put their noses to the ground and took off in the yearlings direction. Was hoping this dude would come by but no such luck. I set out another trail cam today Tenderloin.jpg Tenderloin-1.jpg trying to catch him on a different part of the farm, we shall see.

Hoping to be out Friday morning. Kinda up in the air right now, have to see when the wind is set to lay down. Have a chance of rain overnight Thursday but winds gusting into the 30's.

If they can calm down before sunrise I'll give it a go. Early November wouldn't worry about it, be nearing the end of December wind isn't my friend.

I'll get out a day or two this coming 5 day weekend.

Most guys are done hunting for the year, but I just came across this cool little tip on how to muffle velcro in the field. Great little tip for next year!

Finally got a new big one around and 22 days of hunting everyday to kill him. My late season window starts soon.

He would be better looking with an arrow through him and laying on the ground... :chewy:

Heading out in about an hour. Anything I get the chance at....a lot going on for me so not being picky. Deer have been consistently staying out from my stand at least 50 yards on both sides of it. Winds good for either. Thinking I might just pick one and sit on the ground. Log jams around both locations. Wish me luck

Ditto for me. Sunset is 4:21 and it is 3:29 now. Happened to me two years ago. If i had been smart enough to reload my muzzleloader I could have doubled up. I’m looking forward to participating here more next year
