I didn't see anything this morning, so hopefully they'll be moving early tonight.

I'm up but yeah not ideal conditions. Right wind and to get to water they have to come by me. Who knows.

Had a deer come through about 2 hrs before dark. It was in some thick stuff and can only see a body and legs at 30yds. Never winded me and just kept moving. Back at it tomorrow.

Rabbits. I saw rabbits. I actually drew on one and seriously considered seeing how good I am at 28 yards. Guess I wont know today tho. Lol. I have some new Intel off a camera that may make me go native on this one buck. Caught him coming out of bed at about 4 PM 3 days ago with another buck that seems to follow him around. Problem is access or I guess quiet access is the rub. I'll keep you guys posted.

Well blanked again on this trip. I haven't seen a deer since November 3rd. This is brutal this year. A lot of people in my area are saying this is some of the toughest hunting in decades if not the worst. 3 more weekends left and its getting tough to keep coming and seeing nothing this whole season.

Sometimes I wonder why I even go out hunting on days like this. Saw zero this morning. It's a freakin beautiful day, so deer aren't in a hurry to eat, people are out walking dogs, and the bright moon is already up. Haven't seen a big dude in a while. Tired from getting up early. Got home later than expected. Take a scent free shower and climb into the stand because....because there us always a chance a buck will walk through some one's yard, downwind at the end of your last time out muzzle loading, stop and turn broadside at 40 yards minutes before shooting time. Could not have scripted a more dramatic, exhilarating, and unexpected evening. He ran 20 yards towards me and dropped!

There was a smaller buck with him that hung around for an hour 20181216_184538.jpg
