Hey everybody, reviving an old thread. I love seeing pics of deer and coyotes and whatever people are hunting. This year I had my cameras in the tree and tried to get a video of my own hunt...those guys make it look easy...it wasn't ..but it was a lot of fun. My 2 minute video is MP4, which is apparently not a format supported here, so I haven't been able to post it yet... IMG_20181026_181444551.jpg IMG_20181026_181513651.jpg

Yep, that was a pretty cool video. It really is much harder than some folks make it look. I personally think it's too much like work. But, I'll continue to take short videos of deer I don't want to shoot with my iPhone. It really takes good video, with great audio.

A little amateur success for me this year....I'm all about hunting me some small acreage. :) Although this buck was on a 15,000 acre piece of public land, he was only using 26 acres of it, total, (outside the rut of course)....And contrary to popular belief, honing in on that 26 acres, then narrowing that to 18 yards wasn't a cake walk. But I also have no delusions either, I know I'm truly blessed for the opportunity to hunt where I do.

You can cry about how many small deer there are up in northeast USA and I will simply say it’s all about the work you put on in my opinions. There is so few deer in North Dakota that a buck rifle tag is like a golden ticket to Wonkas factory... you only can harvest one deer a year for archery and it’s either sex. No over the counter or extra tags. It’s a one and done season. I started hunting my property 3 years ago and the bosses buck on it at that time was a 2x2 And with 3 years of land management adding food and figuring out travel routes I am now drawing deer in from a distance and holding them here...

It’s all about patience I went three years without a deer and my property went from very few deer to a few shooters and a ton of average bucks
