How are thermally lined ice houses cheaper than uninsulated ground blinds. Just a question no need for argument please.

Supply and demand ultimately. They figured out what people would pay for them and started there.

No doubt the Camo license has something to do with it, but there's also a much larger market for hunting blinds than Ice fishing houses. They also know that there's a portion of hunters that will pay a premium for overbuilt equipment. Also, due to a higher demand, they believe they can sell them with a higher margin.

Thank you guys. I wonder if you could just buy a big insulated ice house like the one above and just wrap it with camo wrap

Another thing to consider with the ice house blind is the lack of windows. That's not something you can just cut in. I bet it would lose its integrity pretty fast. You may be able to make it work for rifle, but no way to shoot a bow out of those.

Yes or brush it in. It'll work fine as it is if the deer are used to it.

Yeah I never even thought of that. Just gonna stick with making a hay bale blind!

In retail it's got nothing to do with cost of manufacture, it's all about what they think some idiot will be willing to pay. I mean look at, let's say, bow stabilizers. What device could be simpler and cheaper to make, and yet there are some priced well over $200.
