    Orange hat and rifle in hand. Hopefully I've patented these deer correctly the past few weeks. Should be here at 10-10:30ish.

    Already set in the words...of course I did need to stop the car on the dirt rd on the way in the way in as deer were running toward the car onto private land.

    I admire your restraint.
    If I was partridge hunting, I'd already have shot my limit. wow a bunch of them in here.

    Gonna give this spot an hour or so then start still hunting, looking for fresh sign in the snow. Orange slob vest, .35 over my shoulder and .44 in hand.

    Wow caught up on the thread! Haven’t been able to get out due to work, family and other commitments. Hoping to get out next Friday and the 21.

    Then will be hunting hard 12/26-1/13 trying to fill my tags.

    Heard 4 different sets of shots already. 3 singles and one cracked off 3 shots. More shots than I would've thought so far for what is basically the opening day of 2nd gun season

    Well I was supposed to be out this morning. Some lush hit a power pole last night. Took out a brand new pole the power company just put up in the last month. Lol.

    Got the the fireplace going and had the Genny almost hooked up to the furnance when the power came back on.

    I will be out this afternoon

    Heading out and plan on being on the stand by 10am. Sitting all day. Had an encounter with my #1 last night, so my insanity has been refueled. I hung a new stand close to a bedding area in a travel corridor. He did what I expected but just crossed my shooting lane after all shooting light was gone. Even with pin lights I didn't feel comfortable taking the shot, well that and the fact I could barely make out that I was aiming at him or scrub brush.. So that's two days in this new set and encounters with both the big bucks. Time to let one fly.

    didn't see anything. shots around me relatively close so I figured the deer would push into my area. I guess they must have went the other direction. waiting til late season now.
