It was at noon. Ended up with 33 people at the house. Got my feet up now and thinking about leftovers for next weeks lunches!

Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend, I know I did! Didn't make it out hunting at all but had lots of food and family time. Back to work for me, and will hopefully be back in a stand this coming weekend.

Good luck to you guys out hunting!

Got another 8" of snow at the house over night and it's still falling down, probably be around 10"-12" by the end of the day. Will make the black powder/second archery season opener great this weekend. Good luck to those getting out this week!

Might try to get out tomorrow. Woke up on time to hunt today but had to do stuff around the house I’ve been putting off for a while. Will see what tomorrow brings. 802 you can keep all that snow up your way. We got mostly rain down here the past 2 days. Most of the snow is gone makes it quieter and easier to get in the woods.

Alright gents, finally uploaded my buck entry into the scorecard! It was my second biggest bowkill buck at 73.5 inches. I know that is not a Monster for most people, but I am excited with that score! My hunting is few and far between right now being married with 3 kids. I shoot anything with a bow. Lol. We are doing great in the contest. Let's keep after it y'all!!!

Congrats on the buck USAF! That's a great buck!
I just checked and the last update on the scoring thread is 11/12. I believe we are doing pretty good.
I'm back to work this week. It'll be weekends and scattered evenings for me through January 15th.
    Keep after it guys!

Nice work USAF and congrats on the buck. Any deer is a good deer in my opinion. I hunted all day Sunday in a 25-30 mph wind and saw nothing. Monday I hunted public land and saw three does and each one had a fawn tagging along. This morning I hunted a little 11 acre piece that has a couple really nice bucks passing through occasionally but I didn't see anything. This evening I had a 100" 7 point in front of me of half an hour. Thirty minutes after he left a big boar hog came in and I whacked him with a Killzone. Back to work tomorrow and Thursday and back in the stand on Friday. Good luck everyone. :)

Nice JDG!! Thanks for the kind words as well. It sounds like you are having a great year and a good time in the stand! Congrats on the hog! I would love to shoot a hog with a bow. It is on my bucket list.

Hey guys, I hate to be the one but it don't look like ash d can count his buck. The rules are very clear of the 2 pic's. I know it is hitting other teams as well.

We're currently sitting in second as of this last update! Regardless of position we've had a lot of success to celebrate as a team which is what it's all about!

It's looking like I may be able to get back after it this weekend if the rain holds off.

Ok no problem sorry for the mistake guys. I still have late archery left coming up in a week or so. Hopefully I can do a better.

Hang on ash d. I just got finished messaging with Brad. If you kill another buck and get 2 pic's with you, the deer and the bow and measure it we can count it.

Just got back from the butcher still a lot of decent bucks being taken. They have processed 253 deer as of today since October 1st. They have 4 guys cutting, 1 grinding and 1 packing.

Well, since I’m tagged out, decided to treat myself to a halon 7. Had to drive 4 hours one way to pick it up at a bow dealer in Indiana called bass and bucks. Great store and awesome people. Has an indoor range out to 50 yards. So the fat man (Santa) might have came early and got me a few goodies for this bad boy. Should be getting it dialed in tomorrow. I ended up getting the HHA ultra single pin sight. Anyone have any recommendations for their TOTAL arrow weight regarding penetration etc? Thanks in advance

That's one helluva present! Definitely not on the naughty list.

I shoot a Switchback XT. I'm at 65lbs and shoot the old Gold Tip 5575's. With 100 grain they weigh about 385 and are moving about 285ish feet per second.

I have a buddy that just bought the Gold Tip 400 spine that he's shoot through an Elite.

I'll be honest, I'm way behind on the latest and greatest in the archery world.

My total arrow weight is around 495. Shooting a E35 at 65#, FMJ with blazers and a 100 grain head.
Played with brass inserts and 125s but didn’t get great tears in paper. Takes some time to find the sweet spot, but that’s part of the fun.
