When I was going through sniper school, I left my ghillie suit out to dry in the sun, well, I didn't notice the fire ant pile I layed it on. We had one of those "hurry up" moments the Army loves to give you and a quick wardrobe change and about a billion fire ants let me know I had F'd up bad. Damn near passed out from the pain.

I've always hunted like that...move in early and scout my way in on public land. Not a novel idea. Lol

When I was going to college I worked for a well driller. There was an older guy in his 50's I worked with on a bigger rig that drilled wells for city water. One day at lunch he picked up his pop can to take a drink and got stung by a bee. He was dead 10 minutes later.

Stuck at work but working on my plan for the state park quota hunt I was drawn for in late December.

Trying to decide where I want to hunt, which will likely be 100% determined by wind direction, whether a crossbow will be worth the investment as I can't use it during archery season here in KY, and lastly wondering if all the childhood friends I grew up with who were also drawn for the hunt are going to share information or be buttheads about everything. I can't kill a buck during this hunt since my tag has already been punched by my #1 hit-lister but I know where a few have been bedding and will gladly share that information if they would be willing to help me out with some doe data.

SO it just occurred to me that I said stuck at work but I'm not doing much else but thinking about hunting. lol

I’ve been doing that too. Great show. I don’t have 3-4 different leases with food plots like this show so I’ve learned a lot on THP. Also relit a fire to get out and hunt more.

Webcast show called the hunting public. They are pretty aggressive public land hunters. They do pretty much strictly hang and hunt or ground hunt setups. But hey explain a lot about there strategy and terrain choices.

Same here. I have a small piece of private land that I can hunt but can’t plant food plots. It’s mainly a travel route the does use with some bedding.

They do a great job explaining what they are doing and why. A lot of ground hunting action which is neat. Just another resource I like to use for information along with BHOD and growing deer. Gives me something to do to pass the time in between my limited hunting. Lol
