Not a bow kill unfortunately. He almost snuck past me and he didn't give enough time to get a good lo look at him. I just knew he was big enough. [IMG]

Looks like by ball parking Ill buck, were still down 100 and change. A nice buck puts us back on top. We have some annual killers still to take down there giant. Come on boys. As the farmer with the pitch fork in Waterboy says. You can do it!!

I should be able to put a doe down one of these days if they would just cooperate with me!

congrats Dawg! yeah you did that fella a favor.
I was up north for gun opener here in Wisconsin. I took a fork buck since that's all I had was a buck tag. Huntin on 80K public land forest you take what is given to you. I did see a 6 does and a spike but passed on the spike. I actually thought the fork was 6. but he did taste good today.
Gun week is on till Sun. So I plan on hitting up next week. I did see any 8ptr last week after the farmer decided to mow the field. So hopefully he holds up on the property and makes it through the gun season.

Good luck to everyone else still out there!

disregard last post. I thought they had them listed by points, not numerically by teams.

    good luck!
I went yesterday afternoon. 1pm-dark. saw the same spike I passed on. He is the only deer that has been there since Sunday afternoon. I will be back in this afternoon. Bow season runs through this Sat. The spike is there daily. I hope to get my daughters out. Only my older one can handle the bow, but I may try my younger one w/ the Xbow if the older teenager has "better plans".
I would like for one of them to shoot this spike before gun opens next Monday. I am only hunting a small 30 acre parcel surrounded by land that gets heavily hunted by gun hunters and that deer will be history Monday morning if we don't get him prior. Same with the little 6 I passed on.
I can hunt this afternoon, possibly tomorrow AM, Friday afternoon (hopefully w/ daughter), and Sat AM. I want one of the two 8 points that have been around. 1 is a stud. The other respectable.

Man, if we are down by only a few I hope that my fergie doesn't bite us in the A$$ vs the 8 pt I shot. He may go a whopping 90", but I would hate to lose this by 40"!

I am confident in the rest of the team. A couple more does and a couple decent bucks (or another Rick James giant) may do it again for us.

If I can kill either of the deer I’m after, we would be sitting nicely. My buddy had him at 60 yards yesterday morning, wouldn’t come any closer. The next time I’ll be able to get out is Thursday morning, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Went out today both am and pm and only saw one little button buck right at last light tonight. Hope the morning brings better luck. Shotgun must have them all moving at night right now. My cards were flopped so it will tell me if anything is going on.
