Well just had a huge buck come in heading to these scrapes I'm sitting over. Got down wind and winded me! Didn't expect him to come from that direction. Dang he was big!

There is a tree about 20 yards off wind, if I would have setup on it, he would have been a dead buck. This game we play can be tough some times.

I'm all set up in the same tree I got the buck out of Tuesday.

I don't care much for it because it's a hickory and climbers tend to creak on a hickory when I stand up and sit down. As a result I end up standing almost the entire time.

Unfortunately this is about the only decent climbing tree for this SW wind.

Escrutiatingly slow here. No deer and sounds like ww3 with everyone sighting in their guns for Monday.

Everyone agree it's a bobcat? Know they are starting to spread out just have never seen one on my place. Would explain the low turkey numbers.[IMG]

Thought I would share this pic I just took from the tree I'm in.

That tree just to the left and under my nock is the red oak that the buck walked behind and gave me my draw opportunity. It's exactly 20 yards away and he was 5 yards in the other side of it.

He stopped just after he passed that tree and posed perfectly for the "shot".

Edit: I just looked closely at the tree and it's a white oak, not a red oak.

A little late getting in the stand but I’m here. Bumped a doe fawn walking in and had a lone doe walk 60 yds behind me 10 min after getting in the tree. Deer are on their feet earlier tonight, should be a good sign! Good luck everybody!

Took a lunch break around noon and snuck back onto the stand at 3.30. I've had two does come through and I think they were they same two from this morning.

Finished checking the honey bees. Didn't think I had enough time to get to the stand.
Wife told me it don't take but just a few seconds to kill a big one.
    I married a great woman!

I'm in the stand! KILL! 1542839098075.jpeg
