Well.... missed my number 1 tonight. Came in chasing a doe while I was putting up my camera gear. Going dark for a while boys. I need a break. Sick to my F%$#ing stomach.

Dang man, that sucks! Don’t let it get you down too bad. At least you know he is in the area and it’s still prime time to catch him making a mistake. Did you actually get off a shot or get busted?

If it’s any consolation, my #1 walked right in front of my stand yesterday evening while I was stuck at home entertaining my in-laws...:bigcry:

After going to Ohio, dealing with my mom's fall, getting sick, getting busted drawing back on a monster and hitting a branch and missing an 8 pointer on my last day I feel like I have recovered physically and mentally and will be back at it in Oklahoma the next couple of days. Hopefully will put one on the ground.

The grandparents got my daughter a youth hunting backpack and a trail cam for her 4th birthday. She's SO stoked!

    Pic won't load.

Well guys, quick update. I'm hunting once per weekend. Focusing on time with wife and kids. Have 2 acres of beans that are still fenced in. Will be pulling that electric fence down in two weeks then planting hunt a few times late season. So I'll try to add a doe for the team. Love all the action and success guys. A bunch of killers here.

I’m really good friends with the neighbor of where my best friend hunts and he sent me a trail cam pic of a really cool looking buck today. It’s super low quality but a crazy deer. IMG_0318.JPG

I like that idea of the camera for her. That will be fun for her to have her own camera to watch. Good choice grandma and grandpa!

Thats bad ass. I have one or two like this every year on camera, but they never seem to get bigger from year to year. I wonder if that broken skull plate kills them.

I love reading the internet hunting sites when gun season starts in my state. I am amazed at some of the dumb stuff people people ask and say. I have no issue with a good ole fashioned gun hunt, but some of these guys sitting behind the trigger are just idiotic.

I’ve wondered that myself. Have you ever found a shed with a big chunk of the skull attached to it? I found one a couple years ago with a huge chunk I bet it hurt like hell

Oh yeah. And the bases usually stink like hell as well. They are tough animals, that's for sure.

Any of you guys hunt predators? I went out last night for the first time all year. No coyotes but killed a pair of reds. I can't tell you for certain but nights where there is a lot of deer activity, the predator hunting sucks. Empty field nights seem to be when I kill coyotes. Last night I think every deer and there cousin were out feeding.
