Pulled all day sits this weekend and I was pretty frustrated to say the least. Haven't been seeing crazy activity up until last night at sunset. The woods lit up around me, had bucks chasing does all over and grunting up a storm! Was a really cool evening that turned a pretty uneventful day around. Just wish their was a shooter out of all those bucks! I actually got stuck in my stand for an hour after dark before i could get down and walk out. Keeping at it for now, hopefully can get some luck on my side very soon!
Bear season starts Saturday, prepped a few sets today and moved some cameras around hope to get lucky and catch a bear coming back from standing corn. 10 more days until deer season comes back in.
Got it done in Missouri. Not done with my bow, but that wasn’t really the point of the trip. Wanted to kill my personal best and succeeded. Super happy with him and his unique rack. Unfortunately nothing too crazy this weekend, just a bunch of does. Then I finally get the perfect wind yesterday for the set I've been wanting to get into for a while now, I was so pumped. Snuck in there at 5:30 in the morning with the intention of an all day sit. Saw 3 does move through at about 6:45 and that was it, which is fine cause this spot usually lights up around the late afternoon/evenings, but I got a call around 10:30 with a family emergency and had to get down and head out....that's my luck though lol Hoping I can catch a break one of these days.
Couple of my buddies are in from jersey for bear season, hoping they get it done. Couple good bears on camera. Rifle season starts monday here, couple good buck showing up often in the foodplots so hopefully they stick around. Goodluck guys
I missed a good 8 point on Sunday. Stupid mistake and had yardage wrong. He was coming in perfect and veered off last second and put him at 45. Thought he was at 37. Been seeing some great bucks this year. Passed on a beautiful 160 class because I didnt fell 100% confident in the 60 yard shot. No regrets. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Happy Thanksgiving guys, deer season comes back in Monday for me I'll be taking the compound and rifle to stand. Have some good bucks coming into the plots pretty consistently during daylight. Goodluck!
I was away ice fishing all weekend. Let a friend bow hunt the place I hunt yesterday and he had 10+ does and a decent 8 point in the neighbors field. I'll likely get out this weekend if it's not too cold.
Finally saw a shooter on the hoof on Saturday, but couldn't get him in. Had a small 1.5 year old 6 point under me at 15 yards, watched him come from the tall CRP behind me and bleated a couple times at him and he came in on a string...just wish it was the other one I saw at 85 yards out that didn't care what I was throwing at him. Grunts, bleats, snort wheeze, he didn't care at all and just kept on his trail. Looked like a 120ish 8 point from what I can see. If he came in I was most likely bending the string on him. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Back at it!
