Just got set down. Hunting in the timber today. Been a year since I've been on this property.

    Good Luck everyone!

The freezing point of aluminum is 1221 degrees...I doubt a few degrees colder makes much difference....to the bow. BUT to me there is a big difference.

Good luck to all this weekend. I’ll be joining the orange army in central WI public land. I have my flack jacket.

My plans for an afternoon sit were derailed by a snow storm that closed school. But that's ok had a blast out in the snow with my boys. And I didn't see squat yesterday afternoon so I wasn't that pumped to go out anyway. Going with a buddy to a new spot for me on Monday so fingers crossed.

Tomorrow is going to be crazy around here. Not many shotgun seasons with 5" of snow on the ground.

Gonna be able to see deer for a distance compared to normal. Not sure what it will do for movement, guessing they will be sticking to any browse above the snow.

Out for an evening sit. The high in Oklahoma Monday 28°, today 68°, crazy normal fall weather. Strong south wind, hopefully it gets the big boys up and moving. Saturday the orange army invades...

Sorry guys just got back home. My phone sucks and died. Met my buddy at 9am. He couldn't find anything pass where I did. We ended up walking whole property, all 32 acres. Didn't find any bloodly beds or deer. Sucks, I wish I would have clean missed. We glassed the crop fields and didn't see anything. Really hope he's ok and will make it. My wife asked if I checked cams, it never crossed my mind. I'm going to pull cards tomorrow.

Back in the tree stand. Wasn’t planning on being able to hunt this evening but it happen to work out and the wife reluctantly gave the ok so here I am! The wind isn’t percent, gusting 10-15 and swirling a little but it’s the rut so I’m gonna give it a shot.

    Good luck tonight gents!

    So...

I've been offline for a while. I've been hunting hard but I seem to be cursed this year.

I've got some great bucks on camera on my property but they aren't moving here during daylight.

I've been gun hunting for the past five days (I guess I'm an orange slob too) but with the snow cover I decided to bring my bow this afternoon.

Even I should be able to blood trail in the snow.

You should be thankful to be bowhunting on a piece of land many only dream about. Take your time and use the wind to set stands. You will get one in range.

That sounds like an awesome afternoon! You cannot get those days back, you gonna enjoy him well you can. My son is 18, and I’m pretty sure he would want to go outside and play in the snow with me, LOL
