My last outing when I realized my honey hole has been compromised on public took the air out of me. I got real sick and haven’t made it out again. My buddy shot his biggest and first bow buck yesterday though and was very excited for him so thinking this weekend I’ll give it another go on the farm. Haven’t seen the deer I like in there this year but with these temps I have to think they are gonna start heading for the crops. Goodluck fellas

Shane, you saw more deer this season than I see in 5 seasons! You don't ALWAYS have to kill a deer to have a successful season. Getting some nice video is like killing one, except they're still out there to grow. Good luck with your swimming, it sounds like it's an important element of your collage time. This is the beginning of your future, embrace it. I enjoyed being on the forums with you this season, and hope you'll be around next year as well. You're a good young man!

I’m not leaving ya yet haha. But a week from now I won’t be a daily user.

Hell, when I say it that way it doesn’t sound quite so depressing and instead takes on a tone of rehabilitation...

Bumped 1 deer that I know of on the way in. I imagine I sounded like a yeti walking in on the frozen snow. But all settled in and ready to go. Beautiful cold calm morning, should hear them coming which will be a fun change! Go get em boys!!

Holy cow that snow was loud getting in here.
I hate setting the camera equipment up in the dark.

How old are ya flinger? I get dressed outside too. It's rough at these temps.

I posted yesterday evening, but I think it was lost with the down time of the forums. Anyway, I sat another 7 hours yesterday, bringing my total stand time to 54 hours, and didn't see a thing! The weather has been cooperating for the most part, but for whatever reason, I'm not seeing much activity since my last good sit, where I saw 11 deer last Thursday evening. I'll continue my efforts, but right now I'm getting some much needed rest. I'll be back out for an evening hunt later today.

Piebalds are fair game here in Oklahoma. As for her, she is only 1.5 and I would like to see her throw a couple of fawns before taking her but she does wonder around so i am sure some ne'er do well inbred north of me will shoot her. The same ne'eer do well started posting on social media last year about shooting this buck I watched for 3.5 years and wanted to let go another year but had to go ahead and take.

It’s beautiful here in Ohio. Cold slight wind, nasty weather coming tomorrow so deer should be moving. But nothing as of yet.
Will sit this area till noon and then regroup and decide to move or not

You still have five prime days and it all only comes down to less than a minute. I will say this, when I was in college I came back during rifle season just to hang with family, great times. But I always missed bow hunting. One of my Ag teachers in high school was damn awesome and as one of our projects we raised money to buy trees, we planted a bunch around the city park and high school but every senior got to take two home. I took and planted two chestnut trees just off the top of the ridge near my favorite stand. Wish I had planted more. Three of my cousins have taken their first deer there under those trees. Just food for thought.

Clear calm and 16°. Passed a small buck at first light. Only in for a short hunt this morning and hope to be back out before noon. Neighbor missed a monster yesterday right around 1.
