So I'm having one heck of a time getting these things on my string. I just broke a whole pack of them (4) trying to get them on. Does anybody have any tips to getting these on without having to wait till I can waste a trip to the bow shop to get it taken care of?
I use a pair of needle nose pliers and stretch and work the money tail. This helps make them a little more pliable and easier to put on. You could also try warming them with a hair dryer.
Thanks copperhead. Worked them over with needle nose pliers and went on. Had to use two pair of needle nose, one for stretching the hole and the other pair for pulling the flange through. Kind of ticked off that I broke a whole set trying to put them on. Lesson learned.

I started using them for the first time this summer. They haven’t budged and we’re very easy to put on. And you can definitely tell a difference in sound! Shooting a halon @28” 70lb. No problems yet. Glad to hear this Kyle Rayburn. I mainly wanted them so I don't have to split my string anymore. I put 2 on the cables and 2 on the string. If they don't last, I'm going back to cat whiskers
I also put two on the cables and two on the string. My cousin uses wishbones. Idk if that’s a Hoyt thing or not but it’s the same concept as monkey tails but haven’t heard bad things about those like I have monkey tails. I find the wishbones last longer, but both work well. To get them on easier you could put a little string wax on them to act as lubrication to get the tail through the hole. Just be careful because you still need to be able to get a good grip on them to pull them through.
