Had good set yesterday. Set all day. Had a doe bed about 50 yrs in front of me most of day. It was pretty cool. That's first time I had that happen. Got pretty windy but stuck it out. Ended up seeing 8 does. Had shot on one, but holding back on does right now. Still need to fill freezer but holding off for chance at buck. Was nice being back on stand. At work today, but hoping to get back out soon. I'll keep y'all updated. Chance of flurries Tuesday with high in 30s. Never hunted in snow. It's on my bucket list. My wife laughs at me when it snows because I act like a kid. Growing up in Alabama we didn't get much snow. Good luck all. Roll Tide Roll

Finally saw one of my #1 bucks in broad daylight yesterday! He was nose to the ground and grunting and wouldn’t pay attention to my calls! I’m going to try a scent drag next time I go out! I'm home watching the little guy so my wife could hunt this morning . We are going to another property this afternoon where I have been seeing a lot of deer. Our first time hunting together this year, really looking forward to it.
I’m live from the stand. Great day to be out in OH. I’ve Been grinding away. Had a few close encounters with shooters but no shots yet this season. Well I’m in stand for the last sit if our early season. I haven’t given up yet but it really feels like it’s over. It’s been a rather disappointing season for me!! Saw a lot of deer but just can’t seem to find a legal buck to shoot!!! Or even a doe that will give me a shot. Had a close encounter last week with a dandy but he was dogging a doe and wouldn’t stop to give me a shot. Weather is good tonight little wind and pressure is pretty high so there’s still hope. I’m not going to be fussy with antlerless deer tonight. My freezer is empty and don’t want to wait until late season after Christmas. Friday starts our 3 day firearm season in IL. Roughly half the deer will be shot at and missed or chit at and hit. Tough hunting from here on out.
