It got crazy!!! Had a 8p walk past @70yds then a doe ran and stopped 5yds from me and peed, I see a deer about 100yds away running he comes in to where the doe was. It was a 10p, at this point I was all ready with my bow and I decided it was not the 1 I wanted. Then came in a small 6p. 9hrs and we will see if I made the right choice.

I probably should’ve just slept in this morning...stomach is killing me. Had to climb down out of my stand twice already to sneak off and take care of business. Second time, a deer that what pretty close blew and ran off alerting the whole woods of
    my presence...smh :bigcry:

WTH, deer? Didn't you get the memo I do all my buck killing at 0840?!?

Haven't seen anything since the walk in. I can pretty much see an entire 10 acre section of CRP covered in snow, you'd think I'd at least see one.

Going to get down at 10 and slow walk back through the huckleberry where All those scrapes are. Winds will be in my face, at least I'll be able to see if anything was moving in there this AM

Just had a shooter 8 pointer walk past me. I am tired of this "doe before buck" rule on base!

Part of me wants to move to a completely different random on the fly area around 10, (look for fresh doe sign) and part of me is saying stay put. Nothing has come through this knoll in the past 2 days, so the odds are good something will soon, as history in these woods always repeats itself.

I'm definitely moving, my only debate is to take stand with me or not. I'm debating on whether or not to sit with my pops on the ground tomorrow/Sunday. He's not feeling good and only been out for couple hours last night, skipped the AMs. If I go with him he'll go out.

In fact that's exactly what I'm gonna do. Decided.

That sucks. Yeah it was pretty wild at night. I hadn't been there since the late 90's.

Good luck everyone! Real cold here in central MN. Felt like -3 this AM. 15-25mph winds forecasted for this afternoon. Not sure I will be making it out today.

I’ve forgotten how that sounds. To me falling leaves sound like deer.

Looking forward to the offseason so I can completely change the way I hunt this place.

    1. Lose 30-40 pounds/get in good shape
    2. Boots to the ground offseason scouting.
    3. Get s mountain bike to access the spots that are two miles in.
    4. Completely revamp my setup:
    I. Back to a bow, low poundage
    II. LW assault hang on.
    5. Once the season starts only hunt afternoons till the rut.
    6. Only hunt a spot once

    Brrr it’s cold
