    The past week I’ve seen nothing but spikes, forks, and button bucks in my #1 farm from last year. 300 acres and I’ve been all over. Trail cams show nothing extravagant..idk what happened other than noticing a lot more bobcats this year (no season in Ohio which NEEDS to change). Taking my focus to public land. Last week of October I almost got it done on a 140” 4 year old 8 point. Gonna go back in his territory and see what happens. The only problem was last week when I went by to see if anyone was hunting it there was a guy literally hunting the clearcut he lives in while I was catching him funneling out to the oaks. Only way way to find out. Gonna hit it before work tomorrow and let everyone know if I get lucky. Went and scouted another spot this afternoon and found lots of awesome buck sign and sign of a bruiser, but also found boot tracks and where they placed a rock to where they go into their stand. It may be public land but when I know someone else is hunting it I avoid it so I don’t mess up their hunt. Congrats to everyone and good luck to the rest! Been grinding hard but by far the worst year I’ve had in awhile..

    Spent 15 minutes climbing this tree. I'm not as young as I used to be. Been up here about an hour or so and the wind shifted. I'm hoping it shifts back.

    Last sit in Kansas, heading home tomorrow. Been the slowest of the 9 years I have been out here. At least no work the last week, except when there is a problem and I get called or text.

    Something working over a tree 80 yards away. Was going to grunt at it but noticed doe out in the edge of the field. Afraid to get vocal before seeing iit first

    Hunted this morning. Same stand as yesterday morning - rattled in 2 basket 8’s, 2 spikes and a button buck.
