Tomorrow morning looks ideal here. Unfortunately I have a lady in my congregation who is having surgery in the morning, so I'll be sitting in the hospital waiting room instead of a ground blind.

Well slow start to the week so far. Yesterday all I saw was a little 2 or 3 inch spike yearling buck and I was on stand most of the day, came in for an hour around noon for lunch. Back in for lunch today and I did see a nice looking buck, at least a 6 maybe more (my RF is 6x mag and I quit carrying binos for weight saving), but he crossed me out around 80yds and I could not pull him any closer. He wasn't in any hurry moving through but he did keep putting his nose to the ground so hoping that's a good sign for the rest of the week. Calling for rain all night until around 8 or 9 tomorrow so I may just skip the am tomorrow and wait until afternoon. It's just so warm for this time of year hell it's almost 70° now... gonna get down to upper 40s at the end of the week but jeesh.

I’m finally getting in the game!! Head to our hunting land in the morning after I vote and will be in the stand for the afternoon hunt. Will be there the through Sunday if needed. It’s supposed to snow here on Thursday, so that might be the big day. Just going to feel nice being in the stand.

Life has been catching up to me but if all goes well I’ll be free finally to do some more sitting than I have been. A Doe came in Saturday morning. She was 50 yards before the wind shifted. I’m hunting with a recurve for the 1st time this year and 50 yards is a long shot on a alert Doe with a recurve. Have some decent bucks on camera as well

He's not going to score real high but he's got 8 and I'll take him. Been skunked the last two years but finally some meat in the freezer.

That from yesterday KC? I've seen 1 deer since Monday moved my climber yesterday when I came in for lunch so I'm hoping to at least get some sightings in today. Best weather of the week too, perfectly clear not a could in sight and a crisp 32° right now. Been sitting here for about 2 hours now and all I've seen is the turkey so far.

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been around much. I have been hunting a lot though. I got this guy on Tuesday at about 6:20AM. 25 yard shot. He chased some does right up close to me but I never saw him. Then I grunted a few times and waited 5 min or so and didn't see or hear anything so I sat back down and had a sip of coffee. Mid sip he pops up out of no where at 35 yards heading right for a perfect shot. He stepped into a clear shot at 25 yards. He ran quite aways, about 250 yards. When I field dressed him I found that I had gotten heart and both lungs, so I was very surprised at how far he ran. I gave him two hours to die because I saw that he had run off so far and I'm glad I did. When I found him at 8:30 he was dead and stiff. I put the tape to him and he came out at 125 3/8". I'll get him on the scorecard thread as soon as I can.

Awesome mass rampaige! Way to go KC! Puttin em down this week guys. Today's a washout for me, really hoping this weekend brings some changes. I'm really contemplating moving to the far side of the property that's pretty much been unhunted for years now. Only problem is that's quite a drive down at 5 in the morning... still trying to come up with a plan

Lol you can keep it! Just got back in from moving my set up across the world. In the morning I'll be hunting a creek bottom pinch that hasn't been hunted in at least 4 or 5 years now and has some sign all around it. Gonna try to take some lunch and sit all day tomorrow but it's sposed to be pretty windy so we'll see. I'm clear at the bottom of the holler though so hopefully I'll be sheltered from a lot of it.
