    Just shot a really nice 8 pt. Shot was a little far back, 40 yds out, didn’t get a pass thru. Looked like about 10-12” of penetration. He ran off about 50 yds, stopped for 5 seconds, ran another 40 yds, stopped for 5 seconds, then ran ran into the tree line about 200yds from me. As he was getting to the trees, he was looking like he was starting to struggle a little bit

    dang there moving today! lay em down boys, Ill be out local this afternoon, weather changed though and it looks like I should have made the trip out to where i wanted to hunt, Ill be out there later this week though

    I think I got one lung for sure but I’m going to wait a little while and then go check for blood. Oh god, I hate this feeling...

    Whats better than having an arrow fall off while pulling up your bow? Dropping your other phone. Its awesome! That little cat nap I had last night wasnt much. Im in full moron mode!

    But the rains have stopped ...time to kill

    It could be a liver shot as well- which is fatal- especially with a big ole' montec in is side doing some extra damage, Im thinking it sounds fatal just again with time, whats the weather like by you any chance of rain? Im curious what first blood is like. but no rush

    I HOPE to be out this afternoon. Not looking good. Raining now and wind is supposed to pick up-10-15 with gusts to 30! Will have a break in the rain until about 90 minutes before shooting light ends.

    May have to sit in a gun shack but it was built with a couple windows for bow too.

    I can use my head for something other than a hat rack at times. LOL

    Thats great, sounds like good tracking weather to me. Youll find him. If it was me I would follow the blood up to the second place he stopped and see if its consistent or if it starts to change at all, looking for any chance it hit some guts. Then I would stop not go to the tree line back out and come back later in the afternoon (assuming blood looks like liver/lung)
